I have been painting lots of larger works for home shows and fundraisers.  Now that the paintings have been delivered I am back to figuring out painting on a small canvas all over again.  Inspired by a spring that is slowly unfolding here in southern Idaho I decided I needed to paint a cheery pink painting.  I hope you enjoy it!

I've been really busy the last few months but since most of my paintings were commissions or work for specific projects I have not posted many pictures.  Today my deadlines have been met, the artwork has been shipped and I am back to creating whatever I feel like doing.  Today it is old phones.  I'm not even sure my kids know how to work one of these. Isn't it amazing how fast technology has changed in the last 30 years?

Here are the second and third VW bus paintings that make up the triptych.  This grouping is part of a group of my paintings that were recently selected to be part of the staging for the Weathervane home show in April in Twin Falls.  Since we haven't had a sunny day in awhile it took these photos outside and the light was so blue.  Even using photoshop the images still don't quite have the same warmth as the Red Combi.  In reality they all look the same.

While I have been painting a lot lately I have not posted much. Here is the first painting in a series of VW busses in various colors. I tried something different with my background making it lighter and more transparent. The series will be going to the Full Moon Gallery in Twin Falls at the end of the month. Super fun to do.
